The Sechseläuten is a traditional spring festival in Zurich that symbolically marks the end of winter. Its highlight is the burning of the “Böögg,” a snowman figure whose exploding head is said to predict the coming summer. The faster it happens, the warmer and more pleasant the summer is expected to be.
