Panorama: Château de Chillon, Le Mont Blanc, Genève, Nyon, Lausanne, Vevey, Montreux

Description

The star of this Panoramaknife is neither a city nor a mountain. It is the largest lake in Switzerland and the second largest in Central Europe: Lac Leman, with ist surrounding sights. Already Caesar spoke of the „lacus lemanus“. The term „lemanus“ comes from the Celtic language and means „big water“. At the eastern end of Lac Leman is the most visited historical building in Switzerland: the moated castle „Château de Chillon“ near Montreux. The cityscape of Geneva is dominated by the „Jet d‘eau“, a fountain in the city‘s harbour. Its water fountain jets up to 140 metres into the air. Between Vevey and Lausanne there are also the Lavaux wine terraces, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

The blade is made of surgical steel material number 1.4116, material designation AISI 440A, Rockwell hardness 54-55 HRC.
The almost velvety handle is made of walnut wood.
