The seven highest mountains of the seven continents, these are the 7 Summits. Which mountains are considered the Seven Summits depends on how the continents are divided. There is particular disagreement about the European-Asian border and which parts belong to Australia and Oceania. We decided to use the “Messner List”. Reinhold Messner created this list as a much more difficult variant and completed it in 1986, a challenge that only 416 mountaineers have been able to complete to date.
